A semi-annual checkup with the dentist or dental hygienist is very important at any age. During this checkup, the dentist looks at more than just the teeth. Sometimes it is necessary to take photographs to better determine the dental situation.<\/p>\n

Based on the findings during the checkup, the dentist\/mouth hygienist determines whether a follow-up appointment is needed with the dentist himself or with one of the other specialists.
