Spark Aligners at Mondzorg Amstelveen – The modern invisible bracket

At Mondzorg Amstelveen, we offer modern Spark Aligners: translucent,
comfortable aligners that straighten teeth in a predictable and virtually invisible way.
Spark is known for its high transparency, excellent fit and efficient tooth movement – ideal for both
small and extensive corrections.

How does a treatment with Spark Aligners work?

1. Intake & 3D scan

During the intake, we take an accurate 3D scan of your teeth. With this, we assess whether Spark Aligners are suitable
and what shifts are possible.

Please note that if you decide not to continue after the intake, there is a cost of €170.

2. Digital treatment planning

With advanced software, we create an accurate digital schedule. You can see in advance exactly how your teeth will change step by step
.

3. Attachments & IPR (if necessary).

Sometimes attachments are needed: small, tooth-colored cubes that are placed temporarily on the teeth to better perform certain
displacements. These may be on a few teeth, but sometimes on almost all of them. They are visible up close
and are completely removed after treatment.

It may also be necessary to perform IPR (InterProximal Reduction). This involves removing a small amount of enamel(max. 0.5 mm) between two teeth to create extra space. This is virtually painless, but may cause temporary sensitivity.
This usually disappears quickly, especially if you temporarily use toothpaste for sensitive teeth.

4. Production of the aligners

After your treatment plan is approved, your Spark Aligners will be custom manufactured. Each aligner shifts your teeth slightly toward the final result.

5. Wearing the aligners

The aligners must be worn 22 hours a day.

  • Drinking water is allowed with the aligners in.
  • With all other drinks and food, aligners should be taken off.
  • Brush after every meal to prevent discoloration and cavities.

6. Changing aligners

In most cases, you change to a new aligner every week, unless your orthodontist advises otherwise.

7. Monitoring appointments

Every 5 to 8 weeks you come in for check-ups. This way we track your progress and make timely adjustments.

8. Refinement

After you complete the first set of aligners, we will review together whether additional aligners are needed for optimal results.
A refinement may consist of a few additional aligners or a full complementary set.

9. Retention – retaining your new smile

After treatment, we make sure your teeth stay nicely in place. You get from us:

  • A fixed splint (if possible)
  • A removable retention bracket (included)

Cost of Spark Aligners

The cost depends on the complexity of the treatment and the number of aligners needed.

  • Light track: €1,500 – €2,500
  • Medium trajectory: €2,500 – €3,500
  • Extended trajectory: €3,500 – €5,500

We are happy to help you find out if your supplementary insurance covers (part of) orthodontics.
